Hello my lovely guildies, this month’s G2KYG is none other than the lovely Vail! Yay for druids! Not that I’m biased… (but I’m biased) If you are interested in being one of our next victims interviewees, let Growlie know in game or on Discord! Anyways, on with the interview!

First off, what is your toon’s name or what you go by in game?
My main right now is Alaeis, but I go by Vail.
How long have you been playing WoW?
Started in BC but I was a super noob, never got to max level. Started back up in Cata and became pretty hardcore around Dragonsoul.
What made you start playing WoW?
Initially because my sister played it, but then when Worgen were added in I thought those were awesome.
What is your favorite race/class/spec?
I think I like every race in the game for it’s own reasons. But I love Worgen and Tauren. Gameplay wise I really enjoy fury warrior but lore wise feral druid is my favorite.
What brought you to Darkwind?
Was looking for a good, active guild that had a good heroic team. Probably my favorite guild I’ve ever been in!
What is one (or more!) of your favorite memories from WoW?
One that stands out to me was when an Orc attacked me at Highmountain and I managed to push him off the edge to his death. But there’s so many good memories to choose from really.
What is your favorite things to do in game?
Definitely raiding, I also enjoy the collecting part of the game. Love mount farming and all that.
If Blizzard to shut down all servers tomorrow, what game would you be playing?
I dunno, maybe try Guild Wars 2 again. No MMO ever holds my attention like WoW does, though.
Tell us more about yourself outside of the game! What are some of your hobbies or things that you do for fun besides play WoW?
I draw quite a lot, I love animals, dogs specifically. I live with my boyfriend, dog, cat and Axolotl in Alberta Canada. I also quite like swimming although I am not very good at it.
What do you do for your job, or what would you love to do as your job?
Right now I mainly do art commissions for work, but I have been a dog trainer in the past. I may get back into that but I am also considering being a 911 dispatcher.
You can have one superpower for 24 hours. Which one would you have and what would you do with it?
I think I would like to shape shift, going back to my love of druids. I would just fly around and run around and experience what it is like as those animals.
Describe the coolest place you have ever visited? (outside of the game of course)
I go hiking with my dog and we once hiked to this far out remote area, climbed a big hill and once at the top it looked as if we could see the entire world. I have done some traveling in my life but that particular area stands out to me.
If you were a giant mega monster, what city would you rampage?
New York because they’re used to it.
What makes you nostalgic?
Thinking back to the 90s when things were simpler and more radical.
What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Dishes. I hate dishes. I always make the boyfriend do them. (But I do the laundry which he hates)
Do you have any pets? If so, tell us about them!
I have a german shepherd lab mix (Rask) A white cat (Cloud) And an Axolotl (Bloop) We are also looking to add a ball python to our zoo. We’re very big animal people.
What is your favorite color?
I wear a lot of black and white because I’m emo. (Not really)
What is your favorite food? (or favorite thing you’ve ever eaten!)
I very much like pasta.
What hobby would you get into if time and money weren’t an issue?
Probably more far off traveling, like traveling the world. That could be a hobby.
What are some small things that make your day better?
If I pretend shoot my dog he flops onto his back as if he’s dead. Never gets old.
What are some of your favorite TV shows?
Game of Thrones!
What is the luckiest thing that has happened to you?
Probably managing to leave home at 18 despite bad things happening, starting my life over, finding love and living life! It’s the little things that count.
Is there anything that you’d like to see the guild do more in game? Or any suggestions of future events?
Wouldn’t mind a RBG team starting up, even if we aren’t amazing at it. Might be fun!
